Hi everybody! I’ve decided to try a new meme that I first saw on A Book. A Thought. It’s called (as you can tell from my title) WWW Wednesday and was originally hosted by A Daily Rhythm, and revived by Taking on a World of Words.

What are you currently reading?

Isn’t this cover so pretty? I’m a fan. This novel is on the short side, so I’m hoping to finish it quickly. Oh, and the prose is mesmerizing, almost poetic. The atmosphere of this ghost story is eerie yet beautiful, and I’m just getting started. Nina Lacour definitely knows how to pull in her readers.

Since I’m only a few pages in, here’s the summary from Goodreads:

Mila is used to being alone. Maybe that’s why she said yes to the opportunity: living in this remote place, among the flowers and the fog and the crash of waves far below.

But she hadn’t known about the ghosts.

Newly graduated from high school, Mila has aged out of the foster care system. So when she’s offered a job and a place to stay at a farm on an isolated part of the Northern California Coast, she immediately accepts. Maybe she will finally find a new home, a real home. If you’ve been following me for a while, you know I’m a fan of audiobooks, and @NetGalley just approved me to listen to this beautiful novel written by Christopher Paolini and read by Jennifer Hale. I’m only about an hour in, and this book is 39 hours long, so I’ll let you read the summary from Macmillan Audio:

What did you finish recently?

I’ve just finished the first Jessica Shaw Thriller, and I’m looking forward to the next one. I have no idea when I’m going to have time to fit it into by TBR, but I will do so at some point.

In case you missed my review of this title, this is a novels about P.I. Jessica Shaw who is an expert at finding people. One day she receives a mysterious email with a picture of a little girl who’s been missing for 25 years. The little girl in the picture is her.

It was a roller coaster of a read, and I do warn you that there is profanity and a little bit of sexiness, so if that’s not your thing, beware.

What do you think you’ll read next?

Guess who’s book of the month came in yesterday! I have been told that this is the next Daisy Jones, and I so hope that is true. This time, instead of a rock n’ roll star, it’s a story about a pop star. Since I haven’t even cracked the cover on this one, I’m going to cheat and use the BOTM summary:
