I love Susan Mallory’s Blackberry Island Series!
Barefoot Season (where two ones upon in time friends must learn to reconnect and work together while one deals with the other’s betrayal and the other recovers from PTSD after a major injury in Afghanistan);
Three Sisters (actually these are three houses that sit together in a cul-de-sac and house three very different women who live in them and each have their own demons to exercise from their life);
Evening Stars (two real life sisters after to find a way to live together and respect each others’ life choices & decide if their true loves will give them the life they want or make them choose to change forever) and now…
Sisters by Choice. Sophie has a hard time trusting people. She built an empire based on videos of her beloved cat, CK (yes a multi-million dollar company based in cat videos:) while in college and her roommate wanted a portion because she held a camera. Then after she supports her husband and pays for his college career he wants out of the marriage with half of the profits. She isn’t the easiest boss to work for because of these trust issues.
CK dies and then her business burns to the ground and she relocates to her childhood home, BlackBerry Island. Her two cousins have issues of their own but they always come together to support each other. She brings new jobs, a boost to the local economy and what does she get in return? She must face the person she has become in order to become the person she wants to be and it isn’t an easy task. Why is is so hard and could have a man have anything to do with it? You’ll have to read to find out.

I’m not familiar with this writer; I enjoyed the post, thanks.
