Top Ten Tuesday: Book Covers with Fall Colors/Vibes

Top Ten Tuesday was created by The Broke and the Bookish in June of 2010 and was moved to That Artsy Reader Girl in January of 2018. It was born of a love of lists, a love of books, and a desire to bring bookish friends together.

I just realized that I somehow skipped last weeks TTT! Oops. Sorry about that. I’m happy to be back with an answer for this week’s topic. Please let me know what you think of my picks in the comments.

1. The Unraveling of Cassidy Holmes

The oranges in this cover really made me think of Fall, and it totally fits the overall atmosphere of the novel itself.

2. Winter Counts

Some people might argue that this vibrant red is more of a winter color, but so many of the trees in my neighborhood look like this right now. I actually just finished this one, and it was a great read. If you love an action-packed thriller, add it to your list right now!

3. Now that I’ve Found You

I have not actually read this one yet, but the cover looks exactly like something that should be read in the fall. Based on the summary I read, this is a story of fame and romance. The reviews I’ve read are stellar, so it’s definitely on my TBR.

4. Fire With Fire

I haven’t read this yet because it doesn’t come out until June of 2021! That said, it’s written by Destiny Soria who is amazing (she also went to college with me), so I will definitely read it at some point!

5. Catcher in the Rye

I’m actually not a fan of this novel. I’m one of those people who finds Holden to be pretentious and whiney.

6. Where the Crawdads Sing

Of course I couldn’t have made this list without including this amazing novel. If you haven’t read Where the Crawdads Sing yet, you really should I guarantee that it lives up to the hype.

7. Dune

Check out this BEAUTIFUL special edition cover of Frank Herbert’s science fiction masterpiece!

8. After Alice

Here is another one I haven’t read yet, but considering it’s a retelling of one of my favorite children’s tales written by the author of Wicked (unpopular opinion: The Ugly Stepsister is actually a better book), it has to be on my TBR. Doesn’t that cover absolutely encapsulate fall vibes?

9. A Deadly Education

This was one of my book of the month choices and I just love how the cover reminds me that Halloween is coming up. I can’t wait to get to this one even though I have no idea when that will be.

10. Just Jones

Have you read Andy Andrews new Noticer novel yet? Because it’s just as good as all the rest. Make sure to check it out!

What do you think of my list?

  1. The only book on the list that I have read is Where the Crawdads Sing and I loved it. I read it on my kindle but had to buy a copy of it then to have it on my bookcase – which is now actually three bookcases!
