For this week’s Book tag Thursday, I found this tag over at Amy’s blog, The Fangirl’s Opinion. I just had to try it out!
Rules
- Tag Ally @ Ally Writes Things so I can see your recommendations!
- Give at least one recommendation for each of the prompts below
- If you don’t have a recommendation, talk about a book you want to read
- Tag your friends
A Book About Friendship
A Translated Book
A Diverse Romance
A Fast-Paced Book
A non-fiction book (not a memoir)
Buy Mindhunter: Inside the FBI’s Elite Serial Crime Unit
An Underrated Memoir
A Book With Fewer Than 10,000 Ratings on Goodreads
A Book With a LGBTQ+ Protagonist
I recently sat through a YouTube review of this book in which the reviewer stated that the book was just about “straight white people.” While I agree that there is a disappointing lack of people of color, I feel like I should remind the world that Addie is notably bisexual and Henry is pansexual. I feel like they are both well-defined characters and great representations.
A Book By a Trans/Non-Binary Author
The Merry Spinster: Tales of Everyday Horror by Daniel Mallory Ortberg is one of the few short story collections I’ve read, and it is fantastic!
Buy The Merry Spinster: Tales of Everyday Horror
A Book with More Than 500 Pages
Buy A Game of Thrones / A Clash of Kings / A Storm of Swords / A Feast of Crows / A Dance with Dragons
A short story collection
We All Die in the End: Scenes from a Small Town by Elizabeth Merry is amazing!
Buy We All Die in the End: Scenes From a Small Town
A book you want everyone to read

There are so many books here that I’ve never even heard of! And the fact that Daisy Jones & The Six, Addie LaRue and Crazy Rich Asians are on the list is a promising sign for the other books 🤗 And thanks so much for the tag! It’ll probably take me forever to get to it, like always (😁😅), but I’m really looking forward to it!

I’m so glad you decided to do this tag and I loved reading your answers! Crazy Rich Asians has been on my TBR for ages, I just rewatched the film and now I want to read the entire series! Daisy Jones & the Six is another book I still haven’t read, looks like I’m going to have to add it to my April TBR! Great post! 🥰✨
