Winter in Paradise

By Elin Hilderbrand

This is my kind of book. Women’s contemporary fiction with family drama, some mystery, possible foul play, a new infatuation that may turn into love, love at first sight (so definitely some romance) and secrets from everyone involved.

After being married to Russ for thirty-five years who was a devoted husband by all appearances (but appearances can be deceiving) it was a shock to discover his secret life. A mistress, a villa in the US Virgin Islands, a job where she has no idea what he really did for a living. Irene must face many challenges along with her two sons whose lives seem to be falling apart as well.

It seems that many fans were upset by the ending cliffhanger but I love a good series. I’ve already ordered the next two installments and looking forward to several hours of great reading.
