This is the first book I’ve read from this author. I will be reading her new one too.

This book has a lot going on. Autumn’s husband left for a business trip and never returns. Her teenage children are struggling with his disappearance and handle it in very different ways. Taylor, the daughter, is dealing with multiple issues. (Honestly it seemed like some of them were forced into the storyline to try to deal with modern topics.) Autumn’s mother, Mary, is dealing with secrets that are coming to light and will strain their relationship.
But the family travels to Sable Beach where Mary lives and owns a bookstore with hope of escaping their damaged lives only to have new problems arise plus a rekindled love affair with Autumn’s high school sweetheart but another surprise pops up and derails Autumn’s hard won happiness and new life.
Everything is resolved in the end. Overall I enjoyed the story and would recommend it for a good beach read.
