I’m back with another Britney King review! Can you tell I love this author? She has a tendency to write the most twisted, pulse-pounding, edge-of-your seat action packed novels I’ve ever read.
Summary
Sadie married a sadist, and now her life is falling apart. She’s going through a rough divorce, meanwhile her neither Ann is perfect. Ann has the perfect husband, the perfect house, the perfect life, and she hosts the most perfect parties. She also might be a serial killer.
Sadie is envious of Ann, so she does what any normal woman in her position would do–she befriends her. Ann takes Sadie under her wing, but whether it is to befriend her or control her, you’ll have to read to find out.
Her is one of those novels that will keep you guessing until the last page, and even then you may not believe it. This novel presents the perfect villain, and you’ll never see her coming.
My Thoughts
First of all, if you are a the type of person who cringes when things get a little hot and bothered, this is not the book for you. As a self-declared prude, I can tell you that there were some scenes I had to skip over.
That said, this book is everything a thriller mystery should be and more. I’m shocked and appalled by the fact that it is not as famous as titles such as Girl on the Train, because I think it’s actually better. I didn’t see the twist coming at all, but the characters were so well-written that I really should have.
If you need a fast-paced thriller, check this one out!
The book sounds very interesting but I’m not into graphic details either. I’ll give it a miss.
