Hi everyone! It’s Kayla here. I haven’t had a lot of time to blog because I’m currently working on my next murder mystery. If you follow my blog, you know the novel is set in Fort Morgan, Alabama. Since it’s a real place, with real jurisdictions, I’m finding that research is far more trying than actually writing the book.
One website I have found to be super helpful actually has nothing to do with Fort Morgan, and everything to do with a small town murder in Delphi. I’ve watched video interviews and press conferences to try and wrap my brain around how a small town would react to a violent crime. It’s terribly depressing.

It’s a great way to educate yourselves on an active case in the US right now. And who knows? Maybe you’ll know something.
